WELCOME!
Hi! My name is Roxane Weyhrauch. I live in the beautiful Pacific Northwest, south of Seattle, “Gateway to the Olympic Peninsula.” Majestic Douglas Firs abound and it is common to see a Black Bear or Blacktail Deer. The surrounding area inspires me to write stories about nature and wildlife.
I have always loved to write! I’ve been writing poems and stories since I was small. I scribbled on napkins, scratch paper and in spiral notebooks. My mother also loved to write little rhymes and even wrote a novel. Unfortunately, after she passed away, we were unable to find it. I have found several of her poems, though, and will eventually share them here. I’m a Special Education teacher so I have also written and shared many stories with my students.
When Covid 19 brought about a mandated quarantine, many people revisited past hobbies and interests. I had a lot of time on my hands. I gathered up all the materials I had used to hastily pen my future book ideas. Some are complete and others are “works in progress.” Hoot and Scoot is my first published work and I’m very excited to share it with you. More on that soon.
